Please join us for the Inaugural Hannibal Bar-B-Q Festival on July 27th and 28th, 2019. The Hannibal Bar-B-Q Festival is a KCBS sanctioned “Masters Series” cooking competition that is open to KCBS and non-KCBS teams. All teams must submit entries for all four meat categories. There is a $6,000 prize purse with cash payouts given to the Top 5 finishing teams in each category; Chicken, Ribs, Pork, and Brisket. Teams will provide their own meat for the Judge’s tasting. Teams will also participate in the “People’s Choice” tasting open to the public at 7pm on Saturday night. Event organizers will provide two pork shoulders to each team for the “People’s Choice”.
Hannibal Bar-B-Q Festival is a 3-day event with the BBQ competition taking place on Saturday July 27th, and “ Turn In” for the Judge’s on Sunday July 28th. Teams will be able to load-in on Friday before 5pm, or Saturday between 7am-11am. The Cooks Meeting is scheduled for 6pm Saturday with a People’s Choice tasting for the Public at 7pm. “Turn-in” for the judging is Sunday beginning at 12pm.
